Beth

Beth is one of those rare birds who actually went into the field she studied in college – B.S. in journalism (PR emphasis), B.A. in marketing and later an MBA – and has headed up The McRae Agency since 1995. She has both blue sky (head up in the clouds, dreaming up new ideas) and strategic planning roles on behalf of agency clients. She has planned and executed highly successful and award-winning campaigns for clients in every imaginable industry, resulting in coverage ranging from a piece on “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno” to CNN, Wall Street Journal and USA Today placements, to name just a few.

She feels blessed to have served in numerous leadership roles for organizations such as the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA), Phoenix Symphony, San Diego Museum of Art, American Cancer Society, Phoenix Children’s Hospital, and Arizona Humane Society. She is the chairman-elect for the American Heart Association’s Phoenix Heart Ball, which will celebrate 50 years in 2009. She is a graduate of two leadership training programs: LEAD San Diego and Valley Leadership.

In her spare time, she dotes on husband Bill Dougherty, her family, friends, several cats and volunteer work. She loves to read, laugh, travel, scuba dive and push the envelope. Creative problem-solving is her passion in every aspect of life.

Beth’s Favorite (not-so-buzzed) Beverage:  Sugar-free vanilla soy latte, no foam.
